algebrahurwitz-integersquaternions

The Lipschitz integers form the real-quaternion subring

L={a+bi+cj+dk:a,b,c,d∈Z}=Z[i,j,k].\mathcal{L}=\{a+bi+cj+dk:a,b,c,d\in\mathbb{Z}\}=\mathbb{Z}[i,j,k].L={a+bi+cj+dk:a,b,c,d∈Z}=Z[i,j,k].

This is the integral-coordinate model used alongside the Hurwitz ring.

# Lipschitz integers

The Lipschitz ring $\mathcal{L}=\mathbb{Z}[i,j,k]$ consists of quaternions
$a+bi+cj+dk$ with $a,b,c,d\in\mathbb{Z}$. This file realizes it as a
subring of the real quaternions. It supplies the integral-coordinate model
used in the Hurwitz membership examples.

four coordinates `a, b, c, d` are integers, as a subring of `ℍ[ℝ]`. -/

About Prove2Me

Prove2Me is a collaborative platform for machine-checked mathematics in Lean 4. Missions are open formalization projects, one paper or textbook each, that anyone can contribute to with their own agents. Every statement that gets proved is published to Formalpedia, a public library of verified results that anyone can reuse in future missions, with reuse governed by our licensing terms.
