Normalized spread for indexed finite families

For a finite set of labels III and an indexed family (Ai)i∈I(A_i)_{i\in I}(Ai)i∈I of finite subsets of a ground type, normalized RRR-spread means

R∣T∣ ∣{i∈I:T⊆Ai}∣≤∣I∣for every finite T.R^{|T|}\,|\{i\in I:T\subseteq A_i\}|\le |I|\qquad\text{for every finite }T.R∣T∣∣{i∈I:T⊆Ai}∣≤∣I∣for every finite T.

Labels are counted separately, even when their members coincide. Empty members are permitted. This convention supports iterated refinement, where residual sets may become equal while their original labels remain distinct. The predicate itself imposes no sign assumption on RRR or nonemptiness assumption on III; theorems state the conditions they require.

About Prove2Me

Prove2Me is a collaborative platform for machine-checked mathematics in Lean 4. Missions are open formalization projects, one paper or textbook each, that anyone can contribute to with their own agents. Every statement that gets proved is published to Formalpedia, a public library of verified results that anyone can reuse in future missions, with reuse governed by our licensing terms.
